Using groups could be a good idea to use with parents.  It could be a way to keep my personal life separate from my school life.

Blogs
This could be a great way to expand your PLN.  People can read other peoples' blogs, and get acquainted with them.  You can learn about authors, researchers, etc. by reading their blog.
Bloggers can also use other ways to contact them.  Then, you can learn more about them.
Bloggers can also have an option to follow the blog.  This could be a great way to update parents.
Blogs can use tags.  This way,  you can access certain concepts easily.  (easy Navigation)

What is Web 2.0?
Web 2.0 is all about the user.  It is about information sharing through websites.   People use social medias sites in order to share.

Reflection: I think it is interesting how much social media has changed within the last 5 years.  Using sites like Pinterest, people are able to share thoughts and ideas about anything and everything.  Sites like Facebook, google+, and twitter allows you to find out information about anybody.  Whether you want to be a part of it or not, it is likely that people are posting comments about you or posting pictures that you are in.  Even employers are able to find out information about you.

Why do we need Web 2.0
Because the students don't know anything different.  They were not around for the creation of the Web, they are only here for the here and now.

Digital technologies have revolutionized how creative works are made, distributed, and used.

It is a tool for managing your own copyright

Reflection: Creative Commons can be a great resource to use if you do not want complete copyright rules.  Flickrstorm is a great resource to use in the classroom to find pictures that can be used in the classroom.

Throughout today's presentations I learned a few things.
First, during one of the lessons, I learned about a good app for the constitution.  This app will be very beneficial for me during my unit on the Constitution and Bill of Rights.
Next, I learned that a lot of people are in the same boat that I am in.  They think the ADDIE model can be very beneficial, yet it is time consuming.  Because of the vast amount of analysis and planning, the lessons were more creative, and I was able to integrate many parts of the core into a few lessons.
Finally, I learned that we have a ton of very talented teachers in our district.

The one thing I learned this week is that ADDIE models can work for many different subjects and lessons.  It worked for all grades k-12. It was really interesting to see how diverse the lessons were even though we all used the same model for the design and development.  I can't wait to see this weeks projects.
